Brief Statement:

Wayne began his involvement in community activities in 1998 when he organized a volunteer group of over 100 people to construct the playground area at the new Kimberton Park.  Since then, he has led the way in the Park’s growth culminating this year in the construction of an open space nature preserve at the Park.  He organized the Township’s annual Community Day starting in 1998.  He has worked with Chester County to secure grants for the Park.


As a Kimberton Lion, he organized the first annual 5K run in 1999 to raise funds for the prevention of Lyme disease.  Last year’s event raised $3500 for the Phoenixville Senior Adult Activity Center.


He has been involved in the local political process and ran in a primary for Township Supervisor in 2003.


As Kimberton Fire Company member, he worked with State Senator Jim Gerlach to obtain a grant of over $70,000.


He was recognized for his work at the Phoenixville Senior Adult Activity Center by being elected President of the Board of Directors for 2005.


He has been active in his Church and has served on several committees.
